The Jeep is reserved for your group, with a maximum of 4 people per Jeep.

Because the tour is private, this gives your group a more comfortable and personal experience without sharing the vehicle with other travelers.
Yes. Your Jeep is accompanied by a professional and experienced local driver who also acts as your guide during the experience.
This means you can ask questions about the area and the experience while travelling between stops.
We currently offer Short, Medium, Long and Sunrise Jeep options.
The Medium Jeep Tour is currently our most popular option for foreign travelers because it offers a balanced amount of time for the experience.

- Short: approximately 1.5 hours
- Medium: approximately 2 hours
- Long: approximately 2.5 hours

Our current customer-facing prices are charged per person, not per Jeep.

- Sunrise B — IDR 850,000/person

The regular customer-facing Jeep Tour prices are per person.
The Jeep itself is private for your group, with a maximum capacity of 4 people.
For the regular Short, Medium and Long Jeep Tour prices, Yogyakarta hotel pickup and drop-off are additional.
Current transport rates are:
- 2–3 people: IDR 250,000/person
- 4 people: IDR 200,000/person
- 5+ people: special group pricing
The listed Sunrise A and Sunrise B customer prices include transport.
Yes. Transport from Yogyakarta can be arranged as an additional service for the regular Jeep Tour options.
When contacting us, simply send your hotel name or pickup location and the number of travelers. We can then confirm the appropriate arrangement for your booking.

Sunrise Merapi Jeep Tour
Our Sunrise Jeep options start at approximately 04:30.
Sunrise visibility is naturally affected by weather, cloud cover and atmospheric conditions, so seeing a clear sunrise or mountain view cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. The customer-facing Sunrise A and Sunrise B prices currently listed on our website include transport.
Sunrise A is currently listed at IDR 750,000/person, while Sunrise B is IDR 850,000/person.
No view can be guaranteed because Mount Merapi is a natural environment and visibility changes with weather and cloud conditions.
Sunrise departures are popular because early morning can provide a good opportunity for scenic views, but clouds, mist or rain can still affect visibility.
We prefer to be transparent about this rather than promise a view that nature may not provide.
Safety, Weather & Volcano Conditions
Safety is an important part of the experience. Our tour includes a professional and experienced driver-guide, helmet and safety equipment, and insurance during the tour.
However, a Jeep adventure takes place in an outdoor volcanic environment, so conditions can change. Routes or activities may need to be adjusted when conditions require it.

No. The term “Lava Tour” is the established tourism name for the Mount Merapi Jeep experience. It does not mean that tourists are taken into active lava or that active lava viewing is guaranteed.
The experience focuses on the volcanic landscape, adventure by Jeep, local stories and places accessible under the conditions and safety guidance of the day.
